Synthroid (Levothyroxine) is used for treatment of hypothyroidism (low thyroid hormone). It also treats or prevents goiter (enlarged thyroid gland), that may appear as a reason of hormone imbalances, radiation treatment, surgery, or cancer.
I've been diagnosed low thyroid function. After a course of tretment with Synthroid, the function was almost normal. But I sould say, that duringtreatment I've been frequently bothered with stomach cramps.
