Avandamet (Rosiglitazone/Metformin) is a convenient combination of two medicines to treat type 2 diabetes - rosiglitazone and metformin. This medicine is used for improving blood sugar levels. Avandamet should be used regularly, two or one times a day with food and be combined with healthy diet and exercise to get best results. But this is usual dosage. Your individual dose is prescribed by your doctor depending on your health condition and history of previous treatment.

Avandamet Safety information
Do not take alcohol while treatment with Avandament. Eat healthy food in normal amounts. Do not let your blood sugar get too low. This may happen if you do not eat enough or skip meals. Always carry something sweet with you to avoid hypoglycemia.
If you need some surgery or dental care, tell your doctor, that you are taking Avandament. This must be known before treatment.
If you are pregnant, tell your doctor. Maybe you will be prescribed to use inulin therapy for the period of pregnancy.
Breastfeeding is not recommended during Avandament intake.
Avandamet Side effects
Tell your doctor if you experienced one of these side effects:
- attention disturbance;
- blurred vision;
- changes in weight;
- decreased appetite;
- decreased sex drive;
- diarrhea; dizziness;
- dry mouth;
- impaired coordination/balance;
- increased salivation;
- joint pain;
- pounding in the chest;
- rapid heartbeat;
- skin inflammation;
- unusual weakness;
- vomiting; weakness.
Although allergic reactions are unlikely, if you think you had a severe allergic reaction (rash, hives, trouble breathing) because of this medicine intake, stop taking this medicine, contact your doctor and call emergency.
