Femcare is an antifungal agent that has shown its effectiveness in treatment of vaginal yeast infections.
Clotrimazole vaginal must be used directly by prescription of your doctor. If you are using Femcare without prescription, follow the directions that accompany the package. Ask your pharmacist, nurse or doctor any questions you may have about Clotrimazole vaginal.
Wash your hands thoroughly every time you use Femcare - before and after using this medication.
This medicine is for vaginal use. Just insert the tablet, suppository, or cream into vagina using the applicator.
You should apply Clotrimazole vaginal continuously for the prescribed time period, even during your menstrual period.
We advise you to use a sanitary napkin to prevent the medication from staining your cloth. This is more preferable, than a tampon.
If it appeared so, that infection does not clear up after you have finished one course of therapy, or if your symptoms are getting even worse, see your doctor. Maybe you have another type of infection. In this case you should take extra laboratory tests.
Clotrimazole vaginal must not get in your eyes, nose, or mouth. Only for vaginal use.
Femcare vaginal is used to treat vaginal candida infections.
If you miss a dose of Clotrimazole vaginal, skip it and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once to make up for the missed dose.
Store Femcare vaginal at about 25 degrees C. Brief storage between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C) is permitted. Do not store Clotrimazole vaginal in the bathroom. Keep Femcare vaginal out of the reach of children and away from pets.
Femcare Safety information
Do not use Femcare (Clotrimazole) vaginal if:
- you are allergic to any ingredient in Clotrimazole vaginal;
- this is your first episode of vaginal yeast infection or you are unsure if it is yeast. Ask your doctor before using this medication;
- you have a fever, abdominal pain, foul-smelling discharge, diabetes, HIV, or AIDS;
- if you are breastfeeding or pregnant;
- you are younger than 12 years old.
Do not share Femcare vaginal with other people to whom it was not prescribed.
Femcare Side effects
Clotrimazole vaginal is usually very well tolerated and doesn’t cause any side effects. However if any of the following has happened to you, do not stop using Clotrimazole vaginal and consult your doctor.
- mild vaginal burning
- irritation
- itching.
If you experienced severe allergic reaction (see symptoms below), stop using Femcare vaginal and call emergency right away:
- foul-smelling vaginal discharge;
- stomach pain; swelling;
- fever or chills;
- nausea;
- severe or prolonged vaginal burning, irritation, or itching;
- vomiting.
