Atacand (Candesartan) is a medicine that treats high blood pressure and heart failure.

If you miss a dose of Atacand, take it as soon as possible, when you remember. But don’t double the dose.

Keep this medicine away from sunlight, moisture, heat and children in a room temperature, in a close container.
Take directly the dose was prescribed to you by your health provider.
If you are pregnant, do not use Atacand. Do not breast feed while taking this medicine.
Consult your doctor if you have any conditions like periods, allergy, liver disease, or diabetes.
You should do regular laboratory tests - measuring blood pressure, blood analysis, when you take Atacand. The improvement of your condition must be in two weeks after you begin to take Atacand. The best effect is between fourth and sixth weeks of Atacand intake.
Atacand Side effects
Among standard side effects are the following:
- runny nose;
- sore throat;
- upper respiratory tract infection.
If one of these possible side effects of Atacand becomes bothersome, contact your doctor and tell her about this.
If you experienced chest pain, decreased urination or fainting during this drug intake, call emergency urgently.
