Melatonin is used for treatment of insomnia and other sleeping disorders such as difficulty sleeping and jet lag.

  • you have had immune system disorders, liver disease, or stroke.

Note, that Melatonin might cause drowsiness. Do not perform any unsafe activity until you know how you react to Melatonin. Do not take alcohol with Melatonin.

Do not take sedatives and tranquilizers while taking Melatonin. This product will add to the effects of alcohol and other depressants.

Do not use Melatonin for longer term than prescribed.

Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

Melatonin Side effects

Stop taking Melatonin and call your doctor if you experienced such bothersome side effects:

  • change in sleep pattern;
  • headache.

Seek medical attention right away if you have a severe allergic reaction:

  • rash;
  • hives;
  • difficulty breathing;
  • tightness in the chest;
  • swelling of the mouth.

If you experienced such side effects as

  • confusion;
  • depression;
  • fast heartbeat;
  • hypothermia (fast breathing, shivering),
