Pyridium (Phenazopyridine) is a urinary tract analgesic. It is used for relieving pain, burning, frequent urination, and discomfort due to irritation in the lower urinary tract.
The typical side effects of Pyridium are: pale skin, fever, confusion or weakness; jaundice (yellowing of your skin or eyes); urinating less than usual or not at all;
drowsiness, confusion, mood changes, increased thirst, loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting. See your doctor if some of them appear.
I have taken 2 x Phyridium early the morning before going to work. After approx 2hrs after taking it, I started having pain on the crop of my stomach, turning to be more aggressive and vommit and puked. My mouth went dry and I had serious pain in my legs and back. When visiting the doctor he said it is tubby flu. I never had tummy flu so intence and severe.... Since Friday after taking the pills I only drank water and still cannot eat properly. Can it be that I am allergic to something contained in Phyridium or is it really tummy flu?
