Nose surgery: what happens after it?

Nose surgery lets you gain the nose that fits you better, but did you ever think what are side effects and what waits you after the operation? There is a chance of bleeding and swelling, so you will have to follow these precautions for several weeks after surgery:

- Don't swim.

- Don't do erobics or jogging.

- Sleep with your head raised higher than your chest.

- Don't bend down from your waist unless you flex or bend your knees.

- Don't lift anything weighing more than 20 pounds.

Also you shouldn't wear eyeglasses or sunglasses on your nose for at least a month after the operation, to avoid pressure on your nose.

You may experience subtle swelling during a year after the operation. Some temporary swelling, black-and-blue discoloration of your eyelids may happen for two to three weeks after nasal surgery.
