Nose surgery lets you gain the nose that fits you better, but did you ever think what are side effects and what waits you after the operation? There is a chance of bleeding and swelling, so you will have to follow these precautions for several weeks after surgery:
- Don't swim.
- Don't do erobics or jogging.
- Sleep with your head raised higher than your chest.
- Don't bend down from your waist unless you flex or bend your knees.
- Don't lift anything weighing more than 20 pounds.
Also you shouldn't wear eyeglasses or sunglasses on your nose for at least a month after the operation, to avoid pressure on your nose.
You may experience subtle swelling during a year after the operation. Some temporary swelling, black-and-blue discoloration of your eyelids may happen for two to three weeks after nasal surgery.
