Synalar relieves skin itch and rubor. It also stops pruritic rash of corticosteroid-reactive dermatoses.
Consult your doctor to use Synalar.
- Synalar must be used only externally.
- Part the hair to provide Synalar direct access to skin in affected hairy areas.
- Put a small portion of medicine on the injured area. Spread the medicine over by soft rubbing movements. Unless your hands are part of affected area, you should wash your hands after using Synalar
- The injured area must not be bandaged or wrapped unless your doctor recommended do this.

Synalar is related to class of corticosteroids. However its acting mechanism isn’t fully studied.
It is necessary to take a dose of Synalar as soon as possible if you miss it. But do not double a dose if it is time for your next dose. In this case you should skip the missed dose and continue following your regular dosing schedule.
The storage temperature for Synalar is 68 – 77 degrees F (20 – 25 degrees C). It must be stored away from light, heat and wetness. Keep children and pets out of reaching the medicine.
Fluocinolone must not be used by people for whom it is not prescribed. You must contact your doctor, if your symptoms remain or become worse.
Synalar Safety information
You must not use Fluocinolone if you have allergic reaction to any ingredient in Fluocinolone.
If any of the following applies to you, contact your doctor or health care provider immediately.
Keep in mind the following facts if you are treating with Synalar:
- Beware of using tight-fitting diapers or plastic pants, if Synalar was recommended to care for a child’s diaper area.
- Beware of contact with eyes. In case of it, eyes should be washed with water right away.
- Synalar contains a corticosteroid in it. Check out if the new medicine you start contains it too (consult your doctor or pharmacist if it does or if you are not sure).
- Breast-feeding and pregnancy cases: Consult your health care provider, if you become pregnant. You should find out the benefits and risks if you use Synalar while you are pregnant. Consult your doctor to use Synalar if you are or will be breast-feeding, owing to the fact that it is not exactly known if Synalar is found in breast milk. Any possible risks to your baby must be discussed.
- Take any vaccine while you are using Synalar only after consultation with your doctor.
- The prescribed dose and course of treatment must not be enlarged without checking with your doctor.
- Use Synalar for only conditions it was prescribed.
- Children’s and teenagers’ growth rate may be touched on by corticosteroids in some cases. Owing to that it is recommended to check growth of kids regularly while they use Synalar.
Synalar Side effects
If any of these most common by-effects become bothersome or remain contact your doctor:
- itch; dryness.
If any of following serious by-effects take place seek medical attention immediately:
- serious allergy (swelling of the face, mouth, lips, or tongue; hives; rash; itch; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest); inflammation around the mouth; redness; irritation, swelling or burning not present before using Synalar; excessive hair growth; inflamed hair follicles; acne-like rash; discoloration, softening, thinning or of the skin.
