Lasix (Furosemide) is a potent diuretic. It is used for treatment of excessive fluid piling and swelling (edema) of the body, that is caused by heart failure, chronic kidney failure, cirrhosis, and nephritic syndrome. In order to treat high blood pressure sometimes it is used in combination with other blood pressure pills.
