I will be seeing my Dr. about a perscrip. for Wellbutrin to aid me in stop smoking. I am wanting to know recommended dosage and how to take it before getting a prescription. I used it one other time many years ago and seems like to start out with I took more and then as I tapered off cig. took less wellbutrin. It worked for me then but would like to use the same as before. Thank you
Roberta, the dose is prescribed individually, depending on how often you smoke, for how long have you been smoking and how addicted you are to smoking. Often patients are told to take larger amounts at once, and smaller amounts at the end of treatment. You should know that this medication can't be stopped abruptly.
