Montelukast is used for treating such diseases as asthma and seasonal allergic rhinitis. The first sign of the effect can be indicated after using Montelukast for the period of 3 to 14 days and cannot be used for the treatment of acute asthma attacks. Singulair was approved by the FDA in 1998.
